IO CANTO is the eighth studio album by Laura Pausini (2006). This is an Album of covers: 16 between Laura's favorite songs. Laura declared he wished to make known to the international public all these fantastic Italian songs. The composers are well known: from Battisti and Mogol, to Zucchero; from Tiziano Ferro and Gianluca Grignani to Ivano Fossati and Pino Daniele; from Raf and Riccardo Cocciante to Vasco Rossi… and many more. With Io Sì (Seen), released in 2020, for the soundtrack of the film La vita davanti a sé (The Life Ahead), the Artist reaches another record: it was the first Italian-language song to have won a Golden Globe and the Satellite Award but it was also the first song in Italian to be nominated for an Oscar!
