Nonstop touring afforded Letters to Cleo an opportunity to develop a harder-edged, more diverse sound, heard to excellent effect on their second record, 1995’s Wholesale Meats and Fish. The single, the propulsive “Awake,” is good…but the album highlight is definitely “Little Rosa,” a masterpiece of ‘60s-influenced jangle pop. Once again, we’ve had the album remastered for its first widespread vinyl retail release. Highlighter yellow pressing, released with the band’s blessing!
