Back in the summer of 2004 Nurse With Wound (Steven Stapleton and Colin Potter) were invited by Kunst I Nordland to visit the Arctic Lofoten Islands for a number of weeks. A small studio was set up in their apartment and their task was to collect sounds from the area and create a series of unexpected radio transmissions that were broadcast on the local radio station over a period of two months. A substantial amount of material was produced and some of the tracks were released as double CDs, the first being Shipwreck Radio Volume 1.
